Job description:

  • Primary responsibility is to work in a specialist area of the Financial Services area with a focus on processing Record to Report transactions
  • Ensure delivery of operational performance within GCC / Zones against agreed SLA’s & KPI’s and complete adherence to SOX/MICS and audit compliances
  • Partner with teams to identify improvements in efficiency, productivity & utilization across the zones and driving the improvements where required
  1. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
  2. Reporting responsibility:

This role has full responsibility on the Financial statements & making sure reconciliations & Journals are compliant with the policy requirements. He/she has to be in contact with respective stakeholders to drive resolution of the open transactions.

  1. Monthly and quarterly tasks:
  • Technical/functional knowledge in Accounting and reporting process area.
  • Communicates accounting practices to customers with no financial background
  • Trains others and/or developing process knowledge
  • Provides position level support of all assigned processes, i.e. monthly financial close,  account reconciliation, journal entries and related documentation, balance sheet account reconciliation.
  • Overall understanding of how processes within Financial Reporting area influences system feeds and final reports. 
  • Integration of new demand or approved solutions into existing process
  • Interpret and highlight areas requiring enforcement of compliance
  • Knowledge of Finance and Accounting policies and procedures preferred
  • Establish and maintain standards and controls
  • Policy enforcement and interpretation
  • Maintain financial standards and controls.
  • Provides documentation for SOX testing
  • Participation in requirements of excellence program

Accounting responsibility:

  • Track KPI's that are aligned with ATR, Business Units KPI's SLA's
  • Identify and escalate process issues.  Participate in resolution.
  • Variance analysis combined with developing and producing reports to conduct analysis based on management/customer requests to determine issues and escalate for resolution
  • Perform more complex transactional responsibilities, data and account analysis to verify accuracy and reasonableness, responsible for timely completion and accuracy of key processes, and reporting responsibilities in support of the overall macro or sub process
  • Research transactional details in SAP and other systems to address inquiries

Project accountability:

  • To make sure that assigned ongoing (global) projects achieve their goals. Active participation on project meetings, contribution to define and execute the action plans, cooperation with Project Lead, Team Lead, Country Controller and other teams to achieve project goals. Support the project with professional expertise.

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

QUALIFICATION

  • Bachelor or University degree in Accounting – preferred (Accounting or Finance)

PREVIOUS WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 7-10 years Previous work experience in field of accounting, reporting or audit
  • Experience in working with S4Hana//ERP/ Syspro
  • Experience with MS Office (Excel, Word, etc.);
  • Experience in working in a multi-national environment is a plus
  • Experience in working in a process-oriented organization is a plus
  • Shared Services experience is a plus
  • Ability to analyze complex Accounting data

  • Fluent in English - able to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Understanding of financial concepts and transactions

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Educational Qualification :

A Bachelor’s degree in Finance & Accounts with a proven track record of success in a similar profile & additional professional certification will prove to be beneficial. Knowledge of accounting and project management is essential to succeed.

 Work Experience :

8+ years business related process experience preferred
