Job description:

  • Proficient in ESXi, vSphere, vSAN, and other VMware products and platforms.
  • Proficient in Hyper-V infrastructure, SCVMM, Hyper-V cluster, MS Core OS- Hyper-V
  • Proficient in implementing Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop 7.x solutions.
  • Configuring and Managing NetScaler or AppSense products
  • Must have an extensive working experience with Citrix Provisioning Services 7.x (PVS) in a VDI environment.
  • Working experience with VDI solutions in multi-domain Active directory forest environment.
  • Configuring and Managing Citrix Storefronts.
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential problems and issues to project team members/leaders.
  • Identify, receive, triage and act upon events and incidents coming from various SaaS services
  • Consistently meets or exceeds established Command Centre key performance indicators (KPI’s)
  • Working under pressure in production environments running production customer workloads and services
  • Hands on experience in managing vSphere, vSAN, ESX environment
  • Hands on experience in Installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting Hyper-V infrastructure
  • Working Knowledge in Citrix XenServer & XenCenter
  • Must have knowledge on Networking, Storage, Windows
  • Experience in one of the following languages: Python, PowerShell
  • Extensive experience in WINTEL Administration for a large, geographically dispersed enterprise (minimum 500+ servers)
  • Experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration, comprises Legacy EOL, 2012/2016/2019 operating systems
  • Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining services such as DNS, DHCP, Group policies, IIS with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
  • Extensive knowledge on DFS, File server management
  • Proficiency in Patch management and Software distribution using SCCM/WSUS
  • Good hands-on knowledge in Frost/Domain/Sub-domains to work in coordination and collaboratively with AD team on day-to-day activity 
  • Monitor back-ups as per the standard policy/exclusions, Generate/Retain/Restore system backups when needed
  • Must have secondary skill set in any of the hypervisor platform such as VMware/Hyper-V/Nutanix  
  • Experience in installation, configuration, and administration of components in a large environment centered around best practices using VMware V center. 
  • Experience with server consolidation/virtualization for HW reduction and site migrations via V2V and P2V
  • Execute vulnerability mitigation as per the SOC recommendation with Infra/ application owners’ coordination.
  • Maintain system availability as per multiple Service Level Agreements (SLA)
  • First person to manually validate the automated daily health checks such as DFS/Utilization/Print/DC health reports 
  • Experience working with various levels of technical individuals and vendors to resolve problems.
  • Produce monthly reporting activity and explain any abnormal system performance
  • Make recommendations to improve health of the system where necessary.
  • Experience using a ticket management system (Service now/ JIRA) for work prioritization and daily workload management
  • Coordinate and implement change records with minimal supervision
  • Domain knowledge of systems management and ITIL is strongly desired.
  • Knowledge of infrastructure configuration like Puppet, Ansible, etc.
  • Working knowledge of one public cloud such as AWS or Azure preferrable
  • Job Responsibilities include providing 24/7 remote support.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for environmental issues as they arise.
  • Experience working with ticketing tool ServiceNow
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
