Job description:

Data Modeler:

• Relevant 3-5 years of experience in this skill set
• Good understanding of Database concepts, Normalizations, ACID
• Worked on any of the relational databases  - Oracle, SQL Server, MySql. Oracle would be preferred
• Conceptual understanding of no SQL database
• Able to write and understand complex SQL queries
• Create logical and physical data models for reporting and analytics use cases, using best practices to ensure high data quality, optimal performance and reduced redundancy.
• Should have proven and practical hands on experience in various modeling methodology like Dimensional and relational Modeling etc
• Expertise in Data warehousing concepts, Star and Snowflake schema, Relational Schema, Partitioning, Indexes etc.
• Experience in Erwin and/or other similar data modeling tools with focus on reporting and analytical applications.
• Should have good understanding of query optimization / understanding query plans  / fine tuning queries
• Should be clear on database deployment processes
• Experience in working with Agile methodology / Scrum is preferred
• Clear communication skills
• Good analytic and problem solving skills
• Good team player
