Data Engineer – ERP Associate

Data Engineering practice will provide you with the opportunity to help our Business Segments define, design and deploy Data Applications across the PwC enterprise.  You will focus on assisting our business teams incorporate automation, machine learning, and data analytics into their processes to deliver quality data output more efficiently.  
You will focus on learning data modeling, ERP technologies (SAP, Oracle, Workday), SAFe and Agile methodologies, as well as data architecture and data acquisition strategies.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for the below activities:

As a Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers with extensive consulting and industry experience, helping our firm develop innovative data solutions, and helping our segment teams solve their complex business issues. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
●    Proactively assist in the delivery of several projects, while reporting to Managers and above
●    Train and lead staff, including resources across technical capabilities and in delivery centers worldwide
●    Establish effective working relationships across firm capabilities, and amongst client-facing staff
●    Contribute to the development of your own and team’s technical acumen
●    Keep up to date with rapidly advancing technical topics (including AI, Machine Learning, distributed computing, cloud technologies and the like), as well as roadmaps and offerings for major enterprise software vendors (i.e. SAP)
●    Develop a deep understanding of the data within a specific enterprise software landscape (including data models, data acquisition, API’s for interacting with the software, security, and other similar topics)
●    Continue to develop internal relationships and your PwC brand

Skills and Experience:

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader including:
●    Ideally 3 to 5 years of relevant experience.
●    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other technical discipline (BE, BTech, MCA).
●    Demonstrates proven knowledge of data acquisition/integration strategies, tools and concepts, particularly related to a specific enterprise software package (SAP ECC/S4 HANA). 
●    Understands the underlying data models for a particular enterprise software solution and has experience either creating or implementing reporting /business intelligence solutions for that solution/landscape. 
●    Has knowledge of enterprise system configurations, and an understanding of the support landscape for the enterprise platform which would enable effective research on configurations and their impact to data, system behavior, and business process. 
●    Has intermediate SQL/Python programming skills, with enough knowledge to effectively transform enterprise system data into a common data model.

●    Performing as a team leader, especially leading teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation.
●    Demonstrates thorough knowledge as a consultant, auditor or business process specialist within a professional services firm or large enterprise, including interfacing with clients on technology solutions and leading the planning and execution of projects.
