Job description:

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Resource will be required to independently own and manage delivery of process activities of a Demand Planning process for the aligned market and effectively collaborate with market counterparts from Supply planning and Commercial teams. Resource will also be responsible to independently identify, solution and close initiatives to drive improvement on aligned KPIs, both with respect to process effectiveness and efficiency.

KEY TASK AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • IC role and the resource will be responsible to manage statistical baseline forecast & achieve best forecast accuracy for allocated country/market
  • Collaborate with aligned country/market DP partners to align on best forecast strategy for their portfolio
  • Able to understand nuances of aligned market/country to identify external causal factors and how they influence demand
  • Analyse and Understand thoroughly trend/Pattern/ Seasonality and product life cycle to select best statistical models
  • Know-how of standard and advanced statistical models – Model selection, Parameter modification and testing procedure of new models
  • Performing ABC-XYZ analysis, Outlier cleansing to generate accurate base forecast
  • Performing RCA for previous week performance taking appropriate action to ensure correct base forecast – For both Long term and Short term
  • Ability to determine right root cause across supply chain value stream – Demand vs Supply issues, impacting forecast accuracy. Knowledge of supply network planning process.
  • Will be managing New /End of life cycle products
  • Ability to prepare S&OP review documents with insights on key demand planning performance parameters and root cause analysis, Identify and label priorities, Top repeating issues etc.
  • Participate, Present and Contribute to market level S&OP process from demand planning perspective
  • Contribute and add value to the business through continuous improvement and process improvement
  • Managing SAP-APO – Master data maintenance for supply chain - E.g., CVC creation, Manual splits & proportion in tool
  • Ability to understand and evaluate impact on current ways of operation due to modifications in process basics, technology enhancements, business changes etc.

BUSINESS ENVIRONMENT

  • Maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders & address their concerns during daily, weekly, monthly reporting cycle
  • Be closely connected with Business Operations and will report to DP lead for day-to-day operation

Qualification, Course, Specialization -

  • Level of educational attainment required:
  • Graduate in any stream, Post-graduate diploma/certification in supply chain/analytics / Machine learning will be added advantage  
  • Professional qualifications and accreditations/memberships required:
  • Not relevant
  • Previous work experience required
  • 4-5 years of experience in Demand forecasting/Demand Planning for seasonal-non seasonal products, Should able to manage Base forecast independently, Familiar with statistical Modelling. Experience in managing client expectation
  •   Knowledge of SAP-APO, MS Office, especially good in MS excel, Power BI, Power Query. Knowledge of R or any other     machine learning tool will be added advantage
