Job description:

The India MDD group of Johnson and Johnson Pvt. Ltd. is recruiting an Asst. Manager – Facilities Project Lead position at it’s Aurangabad (Maharashtra) plant.

Providing an oversight role in administering major facilities and maintenance projects.

Estimates design costs including equipment, installation, labor, materials, preparation and other related costs. Inspects construction and installation to ensure conformance to established codes, corporate requirements, specifications and schedules. Guiding and providing leadership to staff on work assignments. Work with contractors and vendors to keep track of performance requirements including cost, quality, safety, and environmental.

Conduct safety and environmental operations to meet requirements for the site. Complete timely safety and environmental action plan updates.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. PROJECT EXECUTION:
  • Assist manager in development of Project Budget, schedule.
  • Liaise with Design consultants and collate the design brief and design package.
  • Manage the development of project documentation ensuring compliance with all departmental procedures and processes.
  • Manage construction process incorporating regular communication meetings with all parties (i.e. Licensee, Operations, Contractors, Suppliers) to ensure the awareness of issues and progress is maintained. Managing the overall Construction management as per J&J standards.
  • Coordinate with Operations to determine project scope and timing. 
  • Ensuring adherences with the SDPs.
  • Connect with J&J WW COE team for project system/ equipment’s approval.
  •  Attend Design meetings and manage the deliverables agreed.
  •  Design Co-ordination, RFIs- Onsite Design team interface
  •  Contract & vendor Management, Sample and materials approvals
  •  Change Management, Site Management.
  •  Procurement support, vendor identification / vendor selection management.
  •  Work-Measurements Manage quality and good workmanship practice.
  •  Inspect and assess/monitor health and safety on site.
  •  Project Delivery & Close out.
  •  Instantis Management.
  •  Managing staff, business planning, financial reporting including annual budget and expenditure plans.
  •  Connect with the Govt. regulatory body, understand the different regulation and it’s approval requirements. Proactively working for the approvals and it’s supporting. Ensure complete compliances.

 

 2. Budget Management 

          - Prepare cost estimates and construction contracts and exercises cost control measures. 
           - Prepare final accounts and gains approval for settlement with contractors within specified time period. 
           - Monitor and oversees payment schedule for each project. Ensuring on -time capitalization to fulfil the commitment with 100% DDA.

 

3. Compliance & Training

  • Observes & promotes all regulatory requirements as defined per applicable regulations, rules & procedures established by the Company, and notified any violation or deviation to the immediate supervisor or appropriate authority.
  • Complies with all training requirements to perform duties of the job.
  • Ensure adherence/compliance to Records Management policies and procedures, as applicable. Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME), Train and coach others.

Education:

  • Any Engineering Graduate / Post Graduate with business related experience including sound Project execution knowledge.

Experience and Skills:

  • Thorough working knowledge of one functional area through significant job experience & training
  • Likely to have 8 to 10 years business experience.
  • Facilities Project execution experiences.
  • Delivers activities to support operational objectives for contract, projects.
  • Manage the project- Capex & Opex Planning activities.
  • Interacts with stakeholders or users around specific work efforts and deliverables
  • Supports delivery of Health and Safety policy and standards.
  • Ensuring on time documentation generation as per the QMS requirements. Generation of Change control, Overall documentation generation for Project protocols/ reports/ supporting documents etc.
  • Taking overall accountability of the Project QMS part.

 

Contractor Management: 

  • Optimizes performances.
  • Undertakes performance reviews for contractors.
  • Responsible for implementing discipline in operations.
  • Ensuring all contractor regulatory compliances.
  • Ensuring a sustainable and safe working environment during the project execution.
  • Support site’s contractor management program.

 

Leadership & Innovation

  • Work with individual site team members to develop consistent, reliable practices to deliver high quality, productive, safe workplace environments.
  • Provide change management leadership to implement Facilities strategies and initiatives at the site on behalf of Site facilities lead.
  • Establish a high performance and continuous improvement culture driven by key performance metrics, benchmarking and sharing of best practices.
  • Manage the Stakeholder’s expectations and delivery etc.

 

Other:

Travel requirements as per business and training needs.
