As part of the R&D Technology and Execution function, the development team designs, develops, and maintains software products and solutions, including underlying systems architecture. Responsible for delivering world-class products and cloud solutions using established standards and processes in collaboration with other R&D functions.
We are looking for a R&D Development Engineer who is innovative, technically competent, and has true customer obsession to help us with developing solutions for AVEVA Insight, a powerful and secure cloud environment for operational continuity.
 

In this role you will:

 

• Responsible for development, and hands-on implementation using Angular, TypeScript and CSS.
• Serve as a Microsoft Azure technical resource in the team’s efforts to determine and address the needs of our customers.
• Participate in planning and implementation of solutions for our cloud platform.
• Work closely with leads and engineers to recommend and design infrastructure, database, or data storage solutions that effectively reflect our client’s business needs, security, and service level requirements.
• Work with application and infrastructure teams to conduct proof of concepts (POCs) and implement Production-ready designs in Angular.
• Align solutions with standards and best practices working with cross-functional engineering and consulting teams.
• Establish strong and lasting relationships with key stakeholders.
• Contribute to the development of internal best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer science or related degree.
• 7+ Years of IT experience in Design & Development.
• Expert level experience in Angular web development framework.
• Expert level experience in Typescript, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3.
• Experience in creating self-contained, reusable, and testable modules and components.
• Experience in writing UI unit tests in any unit test framework. E.g., Jasmine / Karma.
• Excellent analytical skills, Open, proactive, results oriented, self-organized and self-motivated.
• Professional and precise communication skills.

 

 

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge on UI Automation using Cypress and Storybooks would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Application development using C# or Vb.net would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on SQL server & database concepts would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Restful services or Web API would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Microsoft Azure Platform would be an added advantage.
• Knowledge on Industrial automation domain knowledge would be an added advantage.
• Experience in agile software environment would be an added advantage.
