Job description:

At Vestas, we are constantly optimizing the service supply chain in order to deliver on time to our customers, and at the same time have an optimized supply chain with focus on inventory and cost efficiencies. It is an ever developing task in a exciting environment. This role will provide supply chain leadership and deliver operational growth to onshore and offshore projects across the India & Sri Lanka sub region reporting to the Head of service supply chain - ASP. You will supervise a team of direct reports coordinating planning & operations. The role will be responsible for supply chain planning, inventory and logistics operations to deliver value to our customers.

 

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver on supply chain KPI's (SQDIC) including the contribution to the cost bridge expectations in the business
  • Supervise a team supply chain professional to implement a E2E Supply chain planning & operations across the region (Front desk, Sourcing, Inventory & Procurement, Forecasting & Planning, Warehouse and Transport) 
  • Coordinate and support the SIOP initiatives to improve the overall planning performance in global and SBU region
  • Improve the status quo on the supply chain operations model and engage in innovative thinking, which will coordinate skills, enhance business growth, reduce cost, and bring value for Vestas customers
  • Engage employees to embrace a 'Vestas safety first culture' in all that we implement in the supply chain operations
  • Team management and development - Coordinate, coach, and develop direct reports based on Vestas Leadership Model
  • Establish a management operating system (Daily/Weekly Connect) that ensures seamless communication flow and monitoring of the relevant KPI's for the team
  • Liaise with service directors, site managers & planners, sales, onshore and offshore construction project teams, IT, external consultants, and other business stake holders to understand business requirements and coordinating change 
  • Engage with procurement and supply chain providers to deliver on the transportation & distribution network optimization plans

 

Qualifications

  • 8-12 years of overall supply chain experience in a similar industry
  • More than 4 years' experience in global teams and coordinating senior stakeholders across countries in a multi-cultural environment
  • Exposure of working with 3PL warehouse & external transport providers 
  • experienced in global projects and change management initiatives will be an added advantage
  • Post-Graduation in Operations/Supply Chain from a premier Institute
  • Solid understanding and experience of supply chain concepts, change management, team management is essential to the success of this role 
  • Constant exploration of best practices in supply chain technology landscape
