Our business journey captures a wealth of information at different touchpoints with the vehicle and the customer - during production, sales, marketing and vehicle ownership.
On the customer front, not only is there data captured through virtual touchpoints like the website, email marketing, digital marketing, app interactions, and social engagements, but we also accumulate data through physical touchpoints like the experience center, call interactions, vehicle service interactions or events.
We want someone who can be a part of the brand’s journey and find questions that all this data can answer. A data explorer and an analyst who owns the entire journey from deciding the structure of the experiments to culling out insights and recommending business actions.
 
What will you be doing at Ather?
Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end user’s specialized role
Design and implement databases in accordance to end-users’ information needs and views
Define users and enable data distribution to the right user, in the appropriate format and in a timely manner
Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards
Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security, privacy, and integrity
Monitor database performance, implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
Collaborate with Data engineering and participate actively in discussions involving database creation or administration, etc. for the organization
Represent the needs of the business on an ongoing basis to drive process improvements and maintain process documentation

What kind of skills do you need for this role?
Advanced knowledge of database structure and theory
Expertise with SSIS (ETL), PrestoSQL, MySQL and MSSQL
Creating tables, views, procedures, functions using SQL Server
Writing complex SQL queries using JOINS and making changes in the existing queries if required
Uploading data from excel to SQL server tables
Familiarity with  data structure in SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) that is built, using OLAP databases
Execute SQL procedures using SSIS tasks
C#.Net (winforms/websites)
Building desktop/web applications using C#
Application deployment

Familiarity with programming languages API
PostgreSQL certification preferred
Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
Working knowledge on BI tools like Tableau, Metabase is preferred

What should you have graduated in?
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
6-8 years of working experience in the data analytics field in a data-driven company or function
