Job description:

The Editing Desk has an overall responsibility for editing and publishing content for CRISIL’s real-time services as well as extensive involvement with internal publications and activities. Editors are responsible for ensuring the quality and timeliness of our rating notes, research reports, real-time news, analysis, internal communication and market commentary. You will be expected to lead the team of editors and busiest teams supporting CRISIL in providing real-time editing support on real-time stories, commentaries, rationales, and analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring and approving the storyboard, language, layout, design, style, tone and timeliness of reports, analysis, real-time update, market insights, etc across CRISIL and ensure its in line with the editorial strategy
• Editing Desk Editors are required to maintain integrity and quality, and also act as the gatekeeper," the final pair of eyes on the material before it is published internally/externally
• Responsible for the delivery of all internal/external communications, including newsletters, announcements, internal/external campaigns, events such as webinars, townhall, script writing etc.
• Manage and develop a pool of permanent and contract designers/visualization specialist/editors/writers and also responsible to identify/hire and onboard team
• Strategize and manage budgets for the editorial team

 

Must Have/ Eligibility:

• The ability to edit a high volume of wide-ranging, complex, often sensitive copy, at speed and under pressure.
• The ability to apply the tenets of good journalism, story board creation, while editing content. This means, at the minimum, ensuring that the content is clear and concise, adheres to CRISIL style, has the proper sourcing and attribution, and is free of plagiarism and libel concerns.
• High degree of literacy and numeracy
• Making clear decisions quickly
• Working in a team with colleagues across the globe.
