Job Description

Main purpose of the job and key background information.

Activities to be performed:

  • Proactive in developing strong understanding of the current business/quality processes and developing good working relationships with relevant stakeholders of quality in the organization
  • Ability to update the current quality procedures and checklists based on updates in the business processes, evolving models and new compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage difficult conversations, challenge conventional thinking and think innovatively
  • Ensure documentation of work performed is of high quality and meets reperformance standards. Set expectations with the internal/external teams/stakeholders for timely completion of quality reviews, timely escalation of issues, root cause analysis, remedial actions and reporting
  • Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by working collaboratively with peers and junior members of the team, understand personal and team roles and displaying strong ownership of assigned projects
  • Contribute towards a positive working environment by building good working relationships with the reporting manager, team members and key stakeholders, proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback
  • Display strong auditing skills, professional skepticism and questioning mind at all times
  • Demonstrate sound analytical and communication (written and verbal) skills in all assignments based on qualification/experience
  • Well conversant with MS Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and should be enthusiastic in using other available analytical tools Always adhere to PwC firm-wide objectives

 

 Requirements

Qualification- Chartered Accountant

  • Minimum 5 years of external client facing financial statement audit (statutory) experience in a Big4 audit Firm
  • Possess good technical knowledge – US GAAP, US GAAS, ISA, IFRS etc.
  • Working knowledge of business process review, Internal Control over Financial Reporting
  • Strong application and presence of mind
  • Experience in project management
  • Strong attention to details, analytical skills
  • Possess independent decision making skills
  • Inclination and interest in compliance related matters
  • Reasonably good knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Team player, dynamic, committed to providing high quality, responsible and maintain timeliness
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and verbal)
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and desire to take responsibility for personal growth and development
