Global Supply Chain > Center > SDC Chennai > Spare Parts Buying
This role is a part of Spare Parts Buying Department in the SDC Chennai that handles/support operational activities around spare parts buying scope- which includes - PO Creation, PO maintenance, MIS reporting, mails management, vendor management, helpdesk, query resolution, handling goods receipt & invoice related issues and communication update from supplier into SAP.
Responsibilities
PO creation as per SAP-MRP signals and negotiate delivery expedites with critical suppliers
Come up with customized strategy to deal with delivery tasks
Update Order confirmation into SAP as per confirmation received from supplier
Support follow up for Order confirmation compliance from supplier within agreed timeline
PO maintenance - Expedite/defer/cancel deliveries as per MRP signals
Support in report generation for analytics and MIS tracking
Track shipments based on the info provide by LSP/Supplier/Vestas Transport system
Qualifications
Engineering graduate or a full time MBA in supply chain and logistics
5-7 years of experience as a Buyer dealing with end to end SCM with at least 3 years of experience in handling data, reporting & handling emails
High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Competencies
Know the Procurement Process (Procure to Pay)
Know Business stakeholders' requirements & expectations
Expertise in SAP and good understanding of Analytics
Methodical & ability to resolve operational issues with ease
SQL, Macros, knowledge in creating/handling excel based automation tools
