Portfolio team is the global team which sets portfolio governance on prioritization of projects, resource assessment and starting up the new projects and collaborates with different teams in vestas for cross organizational risk mitigation

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensure resource availability and competency with all stakeholders to coordinate projects within organization without any delays.

  • Be a single point of contact as Portfolio Control for all connected departments like Planning, Technology, Sourcing and Production factories to make sure effective communication & data sharing is available across all stake-holders during Product development cycle.

  • Will be responsible for reaching 1) Required Safety level in any given project 2) Quality of the outcome of the project, 2) Delivery / Completion schedule targeted & 3) also the Cost Targets set for the execution & as well because of the project., thereby held responsible for the integrated approach with all relevant functions with effective project management skills.

  • Identification of Critical Path and focused mitigation of key risks in portfolio related activities including appropriate communication to key stakeholders and Management team.

  • Should be able to contribute effectively in People Management together with the skills on both the Technical and Business Data Analyst.

 

Qualifications

  • B.E or Master's degree in Project / Operation Management.

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in PMO / Project Portfolio Planner/Controller/Business Analyst/Portfolio Data Analyst.

  • Hands on experience - Basic Excel VBA, Microsoft Project POWER BI and SAP PPM knowledge is more Suitable.

  • Good in communication, presentation, training, coaching skill, Systemic, Committed, Simplifier , good at following up, Self-motivated, focused - take responsibility to ensure progress and results.

  • Open and seek collaboration with team-members + engage motivated approach with staff in each function across the organization.

  • Take responsibility for own area and interact as integrated team-member with other team members. Ability to cope with high priority at times and get things done with quality.

  • Sees and understand global cultures as a positive opportunity.

  • Accept guidelines from functional Management and effectively inform them on issues, risks etc. for full transparency on progress, situation etc.

  • Understand Production setup thoroughly (including planning and execution) and Systems / Processes followed.

 

Competencies

  • Should have a minimum of 3 to 5 Years of relevant work experience in Manufacturing Industries which includes Sourcing, Technology (R/D), Manufacturing, Heavy engineering installations, Service etc.

  • Should have been a Portfolio or Project Data Analyst involving cross Functional & cross-Cultural teams.

  • Should have the ability to understand the Full E2E Value Chain in any organization with detailed level of Economic understanding and be able to define Critical path in any project to work focused.

  • Should be having a Project / Portfolio Management exposure with experience in supporting all kinds of Projects like Technology transfer projects, Design upgrade projects, Facility upgrade projects, Launch of new Products in other regions across the globe, Construction projects and Offshoring projects of shifting tasks from one country to another.

  • Should have exposure into Facilitating Project early risk and Mitigation plan with the Management Team

  • Project management skills with ability to work cross cultural and cross functional environment are needed.
