Aerodynamic & Mechanical > Nacelle Module > Nacelle Quality

 

Nacelle LCM is part of the Nacelle module, which is responsible for all Post development of the Base frame, Yaw system, Cover, Cooling and conditioning ,Structure and internal, Transport, Construction and maintenance. The LCM department is working across the Nacelle module to secure high-quality quality in both development and processes. The Sub Module LCM will have to work with and define quality initiatives across the entire Module Organization. The NAC Module is international with departments in Denmark, Portugal, China and India.

 

Responsibilities

  • Mostly focus on design optimization casted heavy components and Yaw System
  • Clarifying design requirements with all relevant stakeholders
  • Develop concept and detail design of the casted components
  • Align concept and detailed design with interfacing modules and submodules
  • Obtaining, modifying, and optimizing CAD geometries to match the requirements
  • Deliver 3D, 2D and design BoM with right quality
  • Iterating all the above until we converge on an optimal design
  • Drive design and design changes through our Change Management system


Qualifications

  • Master's / Bachelor's in Mechanical / Structural / Aerospace/ similar fields
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in design & development of progressive mechanical systems, CAD (CREO) & PDM (PDM Link)
  • Engineering Change Management (ECM)
  • Knowledge in ISO standards related to mechanical component design Systems engineering experience
  • Collaborating with the Designers and Engineers working in your area
  • Create and maintain documentation towards the design
  • Support to meet the constant opportunity of designing larger and more complex WTG structures
  • Work and act as part of a team sharing knowledge, achievements, and failures as part of one unit


Competencies

  • Quickly pick up on the array of software tools and processes we use in our workflow
  • Can develop innovative solutions to the issues we face when performing these evaluates
  • Including development or introduction of new tools and processes into our workflow
  • Have a solid understanding of mechanical systems
  • Model new and change existing CAD models
  • Experience with Creo and PDM Link and Jira
  • Knowledge of Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Scrum)
