Vestas Power Solutions (VPS) is where new product ideas and technologies are matured, developed, tested, and improved. To put it short, VPS is the cornerstone of Vestas. We are shaping the future of modern energy. Engineering Development is the part of VPS driving, defining, and supporting both short and long-term targets for HOW we engineer across our wind turbine platforms and modules.
This position is raised in PDM and CAD Development where we are responsible for the implementation, and customization of PTC Windchill as our PLM system to support the business execution. The department has 11 employees and 20-30 consultants placed across two continents. We develop, maintain and support PLM and CAD software with high focus on system integration and business processes for the full value chain. We work closely together with Global IT.

 

Responsibilities

  • The employee will be responsible to develop the integration of the current ECAD Systems at Vestas into our PLM and ERP Systems 

  • Insight will be supporting & maintaining the further development deployment, testing and maintenance of the systems based on the latest updates from the vendors and Vestas expanded capabilities

  • Work with vendors and service providers to enable resolutions and enhancements

  • Function as a EPLAN and Altium Designer Admin and Librarian

  • Deliver user support of EPLAN and Altium Designer

  • Insight and experience with Product Lifecycle Management

  • Full understanding of concepts behind product configuration

  • International working experience would be advantageous

 

Qualifications

  • Master's / Bachelor's in any engineering specialization

  • The candidate should have demonstrated efficient knowledge and experience in handling ECAD Systems for development of Electrical and Electronic Diagrams and general Design, including 2D and 3D Schemes

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with data and documentation related to ECAD and related processes 

  • Requires advanced knowledge of at least one EPLAN, Altium Designer

  • EPLAN modules, -P8, -Pro Panel, -Preplanning, -Fluid, -PDM/PLM integration, -Harness proD

  • EPLAN infrastructure, -file server, -licenses server, -SQL server, -Data portal

  • EPLAN cloud solution ePulse, -E-Viewer, -E-Manager, -E-Stock

  • EPLAN configuration tool EEC (EPLAN Engineering Configuration)

  • EPLAN Windchill connector, -check in/out of projects, -PLM number sync., -BOM structure, -3D step files via Harness prod

  • EPLAN scripts

  • Experience with the PTC software Windchill & PDMLink and its integration with SAP and how they handle integration with external system, as E-Cad systems is necessary
