Job description:

• Provide leadership and management to a delivery team with diverse skillsets, manage processes and flow of work, vet approaches, and mentor team members to realize their full potential.
• Identify and onboard top external partners to deliver against global data science roadmaps.
• Engage with team members, use informal and structured approaches to career development to focus on individual improvement/capabilities, and provide balanced feedback.
• Conduct interviews, hire, and onboard team members to build Data Science team.
• Mentor a diverse team of data scientists working on various tools and concepts.
• Provide guidance and leadership to junior data science professionals.
• Allocate resources (internal and external) to deliver against Digital Capability and product roadmaps.
• Manage and support large-scale experimentation done by data scientists.
• Design and prototype new approaches and build solutions at scale. Develop and optimize procedures to scale data science models.
• Apply technical knowledge to architect and design solutions that meet functional requirements, create AI ML roadmaps, drive POCs and MVPs, and ensure long term technical viability of new deployments, infusing key AI ML technologies where appropriate (e.g., Azure ML, Azure Databricks, etc.).
• Orchestrate proof of concepts (POCs) / Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) and guide stakeholders through production deployment and operationalization of solutions.
• Collaborate with various teams (e.g., delivery teams, Data Engineering, DQ & Governance, Data Ops, ML Ops, DevSecOps) to ensure delivery of scalable data science solutions.
• Explore design options, assess efficiency and impact, and oversee robust delivery of the optimal solutions.
• Connect and collaborate with subject matter experts in R&D, Supply Chain, Commercial to accelerate Digital Transformation.
• Educate the stakeholders on new approaches, such as testing hypotheses and statistical validation of results.
• Provide thought leadership: facilitate cross-functional fertilization of ideas and implement key principles / best-practices and guidelines.
• Enable the future BI / Analytics infrastructure and self-service model.
