The UK WPFH Group is charged with the development and operating model for Fidelity’s platforms for the Personal Investing business and Fidelity Advisory Solutions busines, including implementation of web & mobile front end and service layer, interfaces, document composition and production, STP/automation and migrations from legacy systems. Our objective is to be the ‘supplier of choice’ for all Investment Platform services to our businesses as well as having the clear mandate to identify the future opportunities that will maintain and extend Fidelity’s lead in online financial services. The department is currently expanding in order to satisfy the high level of demand for both short term tactical project delivery and the execution of a programme of strategic development which will see the complete reshaping of our platform capability and customer experience through the replacement and enhancement of our existing platform capability which supports our growing direct and intermediated businesses in the region.

Job description:

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Understand complex business issues and the technical implications associated with business requirements
  • Understand & document requirements for User journeys (UI/UX).
  • Understanding end to end journey from UX, API as well as data perspective.
  • Understanding Data Lifecycle, Creating Data Catalogues.
  • Writing User Stories and helping with solutions.
  • Leading story walkthroughs and 3 Amigos sessions for the delivery teams
  • Handle a demanding work environment and maintain a very high level of deliverable quality
  • Interact with all levels of the business community, seeking approval from all stakeholders of the projects
  • Define the scope of a business requirement, decide the approach and produce the specification.
  • Drive the analysis effort from start to end for a given area keeping various stakeholders in the loop and getting approvals/sign offs from them.
  • Assess and ensure that the solution being delivered is fit for purpose.
  • Obtaining agreement on business analysis deliverables and ensuring that they meet all the requirements of the business and tracking these across multiple systems groups
  • Working with business leads within the team to identify, define, and clarify the scope / issues in terms of complex business/systems requirements.
  • Functionality co-ordination across multiple system projects delivering common, re-usable functionality using service-oriented patterns
  • Co-ordinate with onshore-offshore UK/India business analysts. Work with onshore-offshore UK/India development teams
  • Interact & work with third party partners and suppliers
  • Stay abreast of key emerging products / industry standards in the Business Analysis arena
  • Contribute to BA forum, lead process improvement initiatives
  • Data Analysis and producing data mappings between various data and reporting platforms

 

 

About you

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

  • 3-7 years of total work experience
  • 2-3 years as a Business Analyst preferably in Capital Markets/Asset Management Domain.

 

 

Essential Skills

 

  • Understanding of Capital markets and how a wealth management firm operates.
  • Understanding end to end journey on various dimensions - business need, UX, API as well as data perspective.
  • Understand complex business issues and the technical implications associated with business requirements
  • Strong documentation skills of standard SDLC artefacts like User Stories, SRA/SDS etc.
  • Strong SQL query writing skills, and be able to do in-depth data analysis.
  • Data Analysis and producing data mappings between various data and reporting platforms
  • Should have experience producing functional specifications documents (FSDs)
  • Analysing the impact of upstream changes, in terms of data and communicating downstream impact as well.
  • Writing API contracts in Swagger.
  • Ability to progress the analysis and drive decisions to close open issue through discussions with multiple stakeholders.
  • Acting as a proxy customer with the development teams, facilitating open communication between the business & development team
  • Experience of business process re-engineering, analysis, user requirement gathering, gap analysis
  • Delivery and results focused
  • Strong customer awareness & business focus
  • Good idea of Agile methodology, familiar with Stories – requirements artefact used in Agile
  • Excellent inter-personal, communication, documentation, facilitation & presentation skills
  • Ideally have experience of e-Business, e-Commerce & Internet technologies, best practices & industry standards

 

 

Desired Skills

 

  • Practical experience of working with agile/dynamic software development methodologies
  • Experience of working with web technologies
  • Proven ability to understand and manage senior stakeholders.
  • Knowledge in B2C & B2B Architectures & Models
  • Any skill related certifications/formal trainings would be an added advantage
