What you will do:

The IT Senior Solution Lead, BI & Analytics, will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of Analytics capabilities using Azure DevOps platform and extended SAP Analytics capabilities on SAP BW/4HANA. The IT Senior Solution Lead, BI & Analytics is responsible for sustaining and supporting the Accelerate Analytics and Global BI & Analytics platforms at Stryker and meet the growing demands of Accelerate live sites. The role is also responsible for supporting SAP Analytics on Global Service, EIM (Event & Inventory Mgmt), CTO (Configure to Order, FTS (Forecast to Supply)) subject areas. In this role the IT Senior Solution Lead(BI & Analytics) will partner with Accelerate BA team, Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand the overall business need, business processes/data (across Service, EIM, CTO subject areas and Sustain demand from Live sites) and drive functional/requirement analysis.

Job Description:

  • The IT Senior Solution Lead, BI & Analytics, will be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of Analytics capabilities using Azure DevOps platform and extended SAP Analytics capabilities on SAP BW/4HANA platform.
  • The IT Senior Solution Lead, BI & Analytics is responsible for sustaining and supporting the Accelerate Analytics and Global BI & Analytics platforms at Stryker and meet the growing demands of Accelerate live sites. The role is also responsible for SAP Analytics on OTC, Finance, EIM - Event & Inventory Mgmt, subject areas.  In this role the IT Senior Solution Lead, BI & Analytics will partner with Accelerate BA team, Business Analysts and Product Owners to understand the overall business need, business processes/data (across Service, EIM, CTO subject areas and Sustain demand from Live sites) and drive functional/requirement analysis. This position will lead Analytics solution delivery that supports Stryker’s business needs and ensure solutions are designed and delivered per Accelerate program’s timeline and objectives.  As IT Senior Solution Lead(BI & Analytics), the Senior Solution Lead will drive detailed E2E solution design (Data ingestion, Data Modeling, Data platform, Front-end integration, E2E performance, and security) working closely with Business and IT teams.
  • The IT Senior Solution Lead, BI & Analytics is also responsible to produce detailed technical documents, configuration and/or development within the assigned applications, overall design and architecture of a platform, and delivery of the end-to-end solutions. key focus is on consolidation, simplification, decommissioning and standardization of existing BI & Analytics footprint that spreads across Stryker business divisions.
  • Deliver and sustain Analytics solutions by leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics & Power BI as primary focus, secondary responsibilities will include using SAP BW/4HANA, Enterprise HANA & SAP Business Objects.
  • Responsible for E2E design, architecture and design in Global Data Analytics focusing on Delta Lake Architecture and Delta processing delivering a flexible, scalable, and high-performance platform.
  • Serves as domain expert in all aspects of designing and delivering high quality solutions.
  • Responsible for analyzing functional and data requirements.
  • Define overarching requirements and create architectural specifications, ensuring feasibility, functionality, and integration with existing models.
  • Drive architectural decisions on best way to meet business analysts and end user needs, while determining the right front-end technology based on the business requirements and implement the right E2E design enabling self-service analytics.
  • Perform activities following Stryker’s Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) framework and processes.
  • Accountable for conceptual data models, data flow diagrams and visualize the information flow across the BI & Analytics landscape.
  • Responsible for verifying the detailed technical documents and ensuring solutions are delivered based on the architectural design.
  • Provide guidance and mentoring to other Solution Leads, Solution Analysts, and other Architects.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IS team to ensure data architectures meet customer requirements.
  • Manages and coordinates with external suppliers and deployment partners to ensure they meet their contracted deliverables related to Architecture, functional/technical design, agreed upon timelines, and metrics.
  • Financial focus on delivering activities on budget, leveraging time on value-driven activities, and ensuring external resources meet contractual deliverables .

What You Need:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in the areas of Computer science, Engineering, Information Systems/IT, or equivalent technical field of study required.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Microsoft Azure and Data Lake experience.
  • At least one E2E project using Delta Lake architecture and delta processing along with experience in DevOps/DataOps, monitoring cloud environments, and developing operational metrics and alerts.
  • Should possess implementation knowledge of data governance, cataloging, and data distribution and Delta/CDC processing.
  • Experience in leading E2E architecture of EDW/BI solutions is required.
  • Experience Azure Databricks using Delta Table, Delta Live Table, Delta Share & Unity Catalog, Pyspark, Spark Optimization concepts, Workspace features.
  • Experience in Azure Synapse using Pipelines & various adapters, Partition/Parallel & delta Load Strategies, Meta-data driven framework with Audit-Balance & Control Features, advanced data optimization concepts using serverless, SQL managed pool.
  • Experience in using Automation/Scripting using PowerShell, Azure CLI or any other scription tool along with API handling & AAD authentications.
  • Design, development, and integration of Power BI reports.
  • Experience in Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) Architecture, Data Modeling, Business Intelligence (BI), Analytics and ETL (Extract, Load, Transform) framework.
  • Experience in driving business value through data integration, transformation, and analytics is required.
  • Experience in data modeling (conceptual, logical, and physical), data lineage, data quality is required.
  • Experience in integration of ​SAP S/4 data and other sources like IBP, MDG, TM, non-SAP ERPs.
  • Strong expertise with SAP BW & SAP BW/4HANA, Enterprise HANA, SAP Business Objects, data acquisition and visualization tools/capabilities is preferred.
  • Expertise in designing complex enterprise data warehouse (SAP BW,SAP BW/4HANA) and Enterprise HANA data models is preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of data related to SAP OTC (Order to Cash), FTS (Forecast to Supply), PTP (Procure to Pay), FI (Finance) and ability to work with these ERP functional teams to understand business processes is preferred.
  • Experience and demonstrated understanding of global system rollouts – strategy and architecture,
  • Knowledge of and ability to drive IS methodologies such as ITIL, Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile Development is preferred.
  • Extensive knowledge of medical devices and/or pharmaceutical industry and basic knowledge of adjacent areas in terms of processes, organization, products and IS requirements is preferred.
  • Experience working with business analysts and executive business stakeholders is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work cohesively across a cross functional and matrixed organization.
  • Experience with process mapping, documenting complex processes and presenting them in a clear and understandable format is required.
  • Experience developing strategic business process methodologies to drive business results.
  • Ability to drive initiatives and projects independently from start to finish.
  • Excellent communications skills, including communication across Global teams.
  • Demonstrated strong communication and influencing skills – oral, written, listening, executive presentations.
