Job description:

Tower Internals is a Sub Module of the Tower Module within the Aerodynamic & Mechanical area in Vestas Power Solutions (Vestas R&D). Vestas Power Solution is a business unit where new product ideas are developed, matured, improved, maintained and tested. Vestas Power Solutions operates on a global scale with more than 1,300 employees.

Power Solutions, Tower module is the technology department responsible for the design and innovation of Vestas Towers. The Tower organization is 100+ strong responsible for the design, development, industrialization and lifecycle support of tower products.

Responsibilities

You will be owner and overall responsible for the Tower Internal Service Lift portfolio during the entire lifecycle

Responsible for the technological roadmap for Service Lifts for both onshore and offshore towers

Identification and requirements specification for the Service Lifts

Sign off and design reviews on new service lift developments done by our suppliers 

Sign off and design reviews on new service lift integrations in our towers

Responsible for the Service Lift cost during the entire lifecycle (CAPEX+OPEX)

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master´s degree in Mechanical, Structural, Industrial or Aeronautical Engineering

Experience with wind turbine service lift or similar products like industrial elevators

Minimum professional experience: 8 years in new product development within the wind industry or similar

Proven experience with design activities like DFMEA, Design Risk Assessment, Design Verification Procedures and Design Verification Result

Proven experience in co-developing solutions with suppliers and outsourcing partners

Understanding of mechanical design and structural analysis
