As a part of this function, the R&D Development team designs, develops, and maintains software products and solutions, including the underlying systems and architecture. Responsible for delivering world-class products and solutions using established standards and processes in collaboration with other R&D functions.

We are looking for a Senior Test Automation Engineer to join the AVEVA Information Management software products test team at Hyderabad. The test team will be responsible for ensuring the high quality of AVEVA Software Product deliveries to customers.

In this role you will:

• Design, write and execute functional, integration, performance and security tests across the range of AVEVA Information Management Software Products.
• Have full responsibility of your manual and automated testing
• Proactively identify improvements and enhancements to existing test suites

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and data structures
• Having a total of 8+ years of experience as Individual Contributor role working in agile scrums, object-oriented programming and product testing environment
• Hands-on experience (5 years minimum) architecting, building and maintaining test automation framework for unit, API, UI and integration testing - Test Automation using C# home grown frameworks
• Good understanding on design patterns and exposure on the various test frameworks like keyword driven, BDD is desirable - zeal to work on the feasibility challenges and coming up with proof of concepts
• Strong programming, troubleshooting and debugging skills in C#/Java
• Hands on in backend testing and REST API (2-3 years' experience)
• Solid hands-on knowledge (Min 3-4 years) of test architectural principles, concepts, and application across web/cloud-based technologies AWS, Azure or Google Cloud - Ideally familiar with either ECS infrastructure and/or ECS processes
• Experience with technologies enabling reliable data processing pipelines such as Elasticsearch, Splunk; database and data visualization technologies for operations such as SQL dbs, Influxdb. Working knowledge with Monitoring technologies: LogDNA, SysDig
• Good hands-on knowledge on test case design and coverage techniques, permutations & exploratory test
• Building, customizing, deploying, and managing the test environment
• Hands on experience in CI tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, Team-city; Knowledge on DevOps
• Should have experience in using source Control tools like GIT, ClearCase, Bitbucket
• Clearly & effectively communicate with the product development team to share and clarify issues
• Adaptability to changing requirements, quick and eager learner (i.e., with an attitude to learn new skills/topics)
• Ability to work under tight deadlines on various projects simultaneously.

Preferred Qualification
• Software Testing Certifications like ISTQB/ISEB
• Manual, Automation testing in engineering product domain
• Good understanding of Agile methodologies
• Experience of Performance testing, load, Interface/integration testing, stress, soak, and security.
• Good Understanding of Plant Design Automation (PDA), Machine Design Automation (MDA) domains
• Hands on experience of AVEVA or related products is an added advantage
• Good knowledge of security (SAML, OAuth, OpenID, Policies, entitlements etc.)
