Job description:

The below is to summarise the overall purpose of the role.

Anheuser-Busch InBev SA/NV (abbreviated as AB InBev) is a multinational beverage and brewing holdings Company based in Leuven, Belgium. Additional main offices are located in São Paulo, New York City, London, St. Louis, Mexico City, Johannesburg and others. It was the world's largest brewer even before the acquisition of SABMiller and is considered one of the largest fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in the world. AB InBev has approximately 400 beer brands as of January 2017.

ABI has recently established a Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bangalore. The team delivers Finance and People (HR) operations for most of ABIs Zones (Europe, North America, Latin America South, APAC South and Africa). Finance covers the following key areas:

  • Accounts to Report: Accounting function, Treasury and Tax
  • Budget and Business Planning: Sales and Supply performance reporting and insights, budget planning and tracking
  • Order to Cash: invoicing and collecting cash from our customers
  • Procure to Pay: buying and paying our suppliers of goods and services
  • Master Data Management: managing correctness and completeness of our customer, supplier and product master data
  • Customer Service Management: front office function interacting with our employees, suppliers and customers regarding finance operations
  • People Business Services: supporting our people functions in the zones through target setting and tracking, performance review process, recruitment and master data

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure:

Primary responsibility is to work in a specialist area of the Financial Services area with a focus on processing Record to Report transactions. It is an important support to the operations side of the business. 

The position requires liaising between the GCC team and BU Directors in managing the day-to-day activities, which involves Month End Reporting, Financial Reporting, Budget & Forecasting analysis, Reconciliations, Journals and other Ad-hoc Requests. Collaborate with the team to give right feedback and challenge them with the targets enabling them to grow with Organization. This position requires prior experience managing strategic/cross-organizational projects, which would bring efficiency to GCC. Responsible for coordinating and overseeing the operations of the team on a daily basis according to Service Level Agreements (SLA). Above this, participates actively in standardization and improvement of projects, people development and recruitment

  • Manage 2 Team Leads and overall span of 20-25 employees across different levels, processes
  • To take existing level of business services to next level
  • Drive value to business like EBITDA contribution and  / or working capital savings
  • Influence team to think driving “business value” to business rather SLAs 
  • Have low attrition rate
  • Think transformation of E2E process rather small automation
  • Become key member in building world best in class Captive
  • Think out of box to bring analytics, new technology in process

  • Extensive knowledge of and understanding of financial processes and financial systems required, including consolidation and financial statements, cost accounting, and general accounting

  1. KEY TASKS AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

Here is the list of key tasks and responsibilities for this role:

  • Ensure true and fair reporting of key complex sensitive reports like Daily Sales, MACO, Brand Profitability, EBITDA, MACO etc
  • Ensure smooth tracking and monitoring of Reports and reporting to Board, Chiefs, VPs, Directors, RMs and KPI Owners
  • Support leadership with business planning tasks such as budgeting and forecasting
  • Innovate and deliver additional value to Financial Services leadership through efficient, quality service and continuous improvement
  • Team and work management
  • Collaborates with client on a daily basis to ensure delivery of services
  • Ensures service measures are in accordance with the Service Level Agreement (SLA)
  • Reviewing and prioritizing the requests placed by the clients
  • Track team metrics in a detailed and timely manner; proactively monitor Service Measures and escalate any potential service issues
  • Responsible for team members Recognition & performance
  • Practice Operational Excellence in day to day operations within own team
  • Should work towards standardizing of the process and add value to the existing role
  • Ability to be highly flexible and react swiftly to changing priorities and urgent situations
  • Reviewing and prioritizing the requests placed by the clients
  • Provide input into process improvement opportunities and may oversee defining standards for new processes and reusable processes
  • Juggle multiple requests, prioritize according to business stakeholder needs and requirements
  • Month End/Quarter End/Year End close coordination
  • Analyze account, variance or data details for address inquiries; for example - judging the reasonableness and accuracy of financial data
  • Ownership of data accuracy, timely analysis and associated reports.
  • Maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk

4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS

Education and Experience:

  • University degree in Finance and related field required
  • Should possess through knowledge on FMCG business structure
  • Managerial Experience in prior role
  • 12+ years’ experience in Finance area or related fields (budgeting methods e.g., financial reporting, general accounting and consolidation practices)
  • Preferably handled projects in the areas of Costing, Budgeting & Forecasting reporting, operations
  • Good understanding of MIS, dashboards and scorecards for leadership review
  • Working in a process-oriented organization
