Job description:

Main Purpose: Own a target/metric that is part of FarmRise product:
● Be responsible for successful feature ideation and delivery. ● Drive vision for a metric. ● Create specifications that drive seamless implementation of features with collaboration with program management.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
● Responsible for a set a features within the FarmRise product. ● Accountable for the strategy and roadmap for a set of features that drive a metric in FarmRise. ● Responsible for a metric in FarmRise. ● Tracking performance of a metric and communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. ● Empathize with our customers and deeply understand their pain points and diverse points of view. Use this customer knowledge to define, test and refine new feature concepts. ● Draft and maintain tight, but flexible product specs that speak to the various user groups across the organization. ● Build lightweight prototypes to define feature concepts. ● Provide ongoing field support as needed to drive high customer satisfaction and engagement. ● Owning a feature outcome end-to-end. ● Overseeing production for features throughout development life-cycle and liveoperations. ● Working with Engineering and UX Design teams to drive execution of feature improvement to deliver features. ● Regular customer outreach, collection, and synthesis of customer feedback into prioritized requirements.

With Product Lead - to maintain overall strategy of the product, continuous monitoring of metrics in product reviews and discussing career progress.  ● With other Product Managers - to drive product sync-ups and collaborate on overall product strategy. ● With Ops/Program management - to coordinate operational support required to collect requirements and feature inputs and drive execution and/or product marketing. ● With other functions - to drive feature development, release and live-ops processes.

Qualifications and competencies:
● Bachelors in computer science/engineering (IT, electronics or information science), math or statistics. ● Preferred: Masters in business administration from a Tier 1 institute.  ● 2 years as a product manager in consumer internet space, preferably on web/app based products.  ● Ability to interact with and understand technical subjects and emerging technologies. ● Strong quantitative data analysis and critical thinking skills. ● Ability to communicate findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences ● Passion for solving complex problems in a simple way. ● Passion for diving deep in the data.  Extra credit: SQL, and/or experience using usage analytics to improve customer journey process. ● Strong understanding and sensibility to the goals and needs of various software solution vendors within a broad ecosystem, and how to drive win-win outcomes for all. ● Ability to understand tech deeply (architecture, scale pitfalls, etc) and to define functional design by taking platform/capability view. ● The ability to create multiple hypotheses and validate these using data/customer interactions and other tools. ● Independence / the ability to drive towards a solution based on a defined problem. ● Collaborative style and ability to influence without authority is a must. ● Outstanding written/oral, organizational, analytical skills, and attention to detail. ● Good-to-have: Experience in Agriculture is a huge plus. ● Good-to-have: Mobile / app industry experience. ● Good-to-have: Product management experience in a startup.
