Job description:

At Vestas, we are constantly optimizing the service supply chain in order to deliver on time to our customers, and at the same time have an optimized supply chain with low inventory and efficient set up. It is an ever developing task in a hard-working environment.

The role will be focusing on the improving the demand planning maturity in the medium term and extend to capacity planning ,distribution planning and elevating our execution capability against our plan in the  long run. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Understand the service planning and scheduling, after market, CIM and construction/EIS processes to identify the demand drivers of spare parts, main components and man power capacity (in the long term)
  • Design, develop and own the process to obtain the demand, supply & inventory in the short and long term from the identified drivers in the S&OP process
  • Evaluate the current planning capability and methodologies, explore the available data sources , tools inside vestas, and evolving technologies to recommend new approaches to plan demand
  • Develop and implement exception based planning to make the demand,supply and inventory management process lean and increase the value addition in each steps
  • Liaise with IT, external consultants, service planning team, after market sales, project teams and other business stake holders to understand business requirements and handling change
  • Responsible for ad - hoc development tasks for supply chain development projects

 

Qualifications

  • Post Graduation in Operations/Supply Chain from a premier Institute 
  • 5- 7 years of Experience in Supply chain planning especially in to demand, supply and inventory planning, S&OP process
  • Experience in developing statistical forecasting through time series modelling and machine learning techniques 
  • Experience in SAP MM, SD and APO as an end user
  • Solid understanding and experience of data sources & database and extraction 
  • Demand planning relevant experience in SQL, R/Python, Machine Learning & Artifical Inteligence
  • Constant exploration of best practices in supply chain planning and technology landscape
