Job description:

The Re-Ignite Program provides a unique and targeted recruiting approach designed to bring diverse talent with 18 months or more of career break back to the workforce. We leverage non-traditional recruiting avenues to re-attract experienced professionals who have taken a break from their careers. The program is set up as a short-term return ship assignment within Johnson & Johnson and will provide participants with a direct opportunity to apply for full-time roles after successfully completing the program.

Educational Requirements:

  • Graduate/postgraduate in Engineering/Pharmacy. (Relevant advanced degree is preferred.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices, and procedures
  • A Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is preferred
  • An MBA in Supply Chain Management or Operations Management is preferred

 

 

 

Experience & Skills:

  • A total of 6 - 8 years of work experience is expected. Experience in a regulated industry (medical device, biopharmaceutical, or pharmaceutical) is preferred.
  • Experience working in a new product development function is preferred.
  • Experience in managing specifications, Design protocols/reports is preferred
  • Proficiency utilizing the MS Office Suite (Project, Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, SharePoint) is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage a varied workload is required.
  • Demonstrated exceptional problem-solving ability is required. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills are required.
  • The ability to work independently, provide multiple solutions to problems and effectively integrate systems is required.
  • This candidate must be well organized, self-motivated, energetic, creative, and resourceful.
  • In addition, this candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, management, and teamwork qualities.
  • Experience in Packaging development, Regulatory Requirements (e.g. MDR, ISO 13485:20216) etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  •  Specification Management:
    • Drive Raw Material (RM), Packaging Material (PM) and Finish Goods (FG) specifications management which includes Creation of New Spec, Change in Spec, Alignment of Spec with Franchise Spec, Phasing out of Specs for Product Family for India Sites
    • Align Specification with respect to USP requirement, ISO standards, MDR etc.
    • Become a Single Point of Contact for Specification Management and Liaison with WW SME
    • Lead and Partner with various functions Manufacturing, Facility, Quality, Engineering, EHS&S, Sourcing, SQM & NPI in drive Specification Management

 

  • Design & Development and Strategic Projects:
    • Experience in handling design and development project in Pharma or Medical device industries
    • Product Label design, development, and life cycle management
    • Understanding of Drugs and Cosmetic acts, Medical Device rule, Legal Metrology, ISO 13485 etc.
    • Discuss with marketing and gather end customer requirement in business case.
    • Prepare business case and get business case approved from relevant stakeholders
    • Prepare project plan, form project team, and align all the stakeholders on project timelines
    • Schedule and lead project meetings and send regular updates
    • Highlight risk of projects and prepare mitigation plan
    • Lead and Support New Product Introduction/Life Cycle Management design change Project
    • Maintain effective communication and working relationships amongst stakeholders
    • Ensure 100% safety, regulatory and quality compliance as per site specific SOPs.
    • Participate in Internal and External Audits
    • Ensure self-training and train others on functional procedures and protocols.

 

  • General Responsibilities
    • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
    • Responsible for ensuring that subordinates follow all Company guidelines related to Health, Safety and Environmental practices and that all resources needed to do so are available and in good condition, if applicable
    • Responsible for ensuring personal and Company compliance with all Federal, State, local and Company regulations, policies, and procedures
    • Performs other duties assigned as needed

 

Other Special Requirements:

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.
