Job title

Lead Analyst- Counterparty Credit Risk Assessment (Financial Institutions)

Location

Pune / Mumbai / Gurgaon

Experience

6+ years’ of experience in assessing counterparty credit risk for global financial institutions

Job Duties

  1. The role entails supporting credit risk management teams of global banks in counterparty credit risk assessment of banks/FIs.
  2. The expectation from the candidate would be to prepare detailed credit reviews on banks\insurance\FI counterparties.
  3. Should be able to draft high quality credit analysis reports by drawing upon linkages between macro factors, regulations, and industry-specific nuances to formulate a credit view. Should be able to defend his/her views on the counterparty / covered entity when challenged by senior stakeholders and clients.
  4. Track market events closely and assess implications on the coverage portfolio
  5. Support senior managers on ad hoc projects.
  6. The role may also require training and mentoring colleagues on specific aspects of credit risk.

Qualification

CA/MBA Finance/CFA/FRM

Skills and Traits Required

 

Should have 1-4 years of experience specifically in counterparty credit risk assessment or credit research or equity research

  1. Strong understanding of core finance and accounting concepts.
  2. Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  3. Ability to communicate analytical thoughts in a crisp, concise and precise manner.
  4. Should be able to independently assess counterparties without relying on readily available research.
  5. Strong inter-personal skills and ability to participate/contribute as a team player.
  6. Should be willing to put in the extra hours when tight deadlines need to be met.
  7. Willingness to operate in a dynamic environment that may entail multi-tasking.
  8. Prior experience in fundamental analysis of banks/insurance or FIs is mandatory.
