What you will do:
Communicate (verbal and written) with divisional stakeholders and the various teams at SGTC DRE on the progress on the project goals, objectives, and testing efforts.
Oversee test activities which include: design, develop and execute test strategies/plans; debug and troubleshoot; perform impact and gap analysis; monitor and instruct test resources on proper procedures to ensure team compliance
Lead multiple medium to large sized testing teams
Verify the availability of the QA environment for testing
Support quality initiatives that are implemented during each phase of the SDLC
Support development of quality assurance and testing policies, standards and procedures
Initiate Risk management and escalation
Lead and coordinate defect triage meetings
Develop and maintain strong working relationships with other IT Services, IT Solutions and functions
What you need:
Educational experience: Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT (Engineering) or equivalent in related field
12-15 years of total experience in product development / engineering with Strong people management skills - with minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience in team building, talent, and competency development.
Knowledge of Product Risk management
Ability to take functional and people leadership
Knowledge of Test/Quality Assurance process and procedures
Good documentation skills like Test plan preparation, Test case preparation, Traceability matrix preparation, Status reporting etc.
Adaptability to shift between projects and workload and be productive quickly
Ability to identify and discuss improvements to current processes
Sound Knowledge of Test Automation frameworks, experience with test automation tools
Good experience and exposure to CI/CD, DevOps.
Skilled in following processes for performance reviews, objective setting and recruiting
Effective and proactive communication to facilitate progress and cascade the right level of information to all stakeholders on a regular basis
Ability to proactively foster relationships with global stakeholders to support projects and understand upcoming needs, issues, gaps, etc.
Proficiency working between complex systems and matrixed organizations
Ability to take functional and people leadership
Knowledge of Test/Quality Assurance process and procedures
Very Good people management skills
Excellent communicator will always be working in a team environment with developers, Domain experts, PM’s etc
Preferably CSTE or ISTQB certified
