Job description:

Job Purpose:

Sr. DevOps Engineer will be responsible for the smooth operation of IT infrastructure needed for B2B platform.
• Responsible for provisioning and maintaining IT infrastructure
• Deploying and managing code
• Monitoring and ensuring that systems are up and running smoothly

Key Responsibilities

• Install and maintain operating environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines
• Perform zero downtime deployments
• Plan and implement effective disaster recovery. Automatic data backups, and restoration of production
environments and databases
• Enable effective monitoring to track system health and implement necessary alerts
• Ensure all security policies are followed for infrastructure access
• Follow and propagate industry best practices for DevOps
• Train and enable junior engineers

Critical Competencies for Success:

• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Exposure to AWS cloud platform. Has worked on provisioning, maintaining, and monitoring ESK, MSK, EC2,
S3 & RDS services. Knowledgeable on Networking aspects on AWS (VPC, API Gateway, LB)
• Working knowledge of Jenkins, or BitBucket Pipelines
• Proficient in scripting using one of the popular languages like bash, YAML, JavaScript, python etc.
• Knowledgeable in Containerization using Docker and Container orchestration using Kubernetes
• Excellent command over Source Configuration Management tools like GitHub, Bitbucket, GitLab, etc.
• Experienced with SonarQube, JaCoCo, or similar tools for static code scanning
• Knowledge of monitoring & APM solutions like Prometheus, Amazon cloud watch, New Relic, Dynatrace etc.
• Preference for experience in tech start-up (small company)
• Good verbal and written communication with interpersonal skill
