Job Description for Manager - Controllership

Manager – Controllership is responsible for:

Financial reporting and audit

• Accurate and timely MIS and financial statements to management.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure review of GL accounts i.e. Receivables, Payables, Advances etc. to avoid financial risk.
• Understand new business initiatives and transactions and advice on accounting treatment and required controls.
• Support business by providing solutions to unique problems.

 

Internal Controls and Compliance

• Establish and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
• Perform test of controls and get controls implements where gaps exist.
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits.

Risk Management

• Identify and assess financial risks.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.

Taxation Compliance

• Oversee timely and accurate filing of indirect and direct tax returns (e.g., GST, TDS) in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Develop and implement indirect tax strategies to optimize the organization's tax position.
• Provide advice on the indirect tax implications of business initiatives and transactions.
