We are seeking a seasoned Lead Python/Django Developer to spearhead the remediation, enhancement, and integration of intricate legacy systems within our dynamic team. As a Senior Python/Django Developer, you will be at the forefront of tackling complex challenges, requiring astute problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to communication

• Spearhead Django framework upgrades and enhancements across various systems.
• Collaborate closely with team members and stakeholders under an Agile methodology, providing clear and concise communication throughout the development lifecycle.
• Innovate and implement inventive solutions to intricate technical obstacles, leveraging your expertise and creativity.

 

Qualifications

Required Skills:

• We are looking for a  Lead Python/Django Developer with a minimum of 6- 9 years of experience Proficiency with Django Framework (version 1.3 through 4.2+).
• Proficiency in Python, encompassing scripting, packaging, PyPI, Python 2.7 to 3 conversions and Pandas.
• Strong command of SQL, with hands-on experience in Django ORM on top of MySQL 5.5 and Postgres.
• In-depth understanding of RESTful APIs and their implementation.
• Extensive familiarity with Docker and proficient in crafting Docker Compose files and Dockerfiles for seamless deployment.
• Proficiency in utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, Batch, RDS, and more, with a focus on scalability and reliability.
• Experience in implementing and maintaining pytest and unit test frameworks and CI/CD pipelines to ensure code quality and continuous integration.

Additional Skills Desired:

• Familiarity with Celery task queues to streamline development processes.
• Familiarity with data pipeline and data engineering concepts, including data encryption, tokenization, and format conversion.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized applications, facilitating scalability and management.
• Experience with command line operations, particularly within Ubuntu/Debian environments (14.04+), including adeptness in packaging and system maintenance.
• Management of Linux network services, including configuration and optimization of Apache, Nginx, Sendmail/imap, and ssh.
• Experience with additional scripting languages (bash, perl, php, and json).
• Experience in utilizing Make files for efficient task automation and project management.
